Apply to hooves using a hoof brush as required. Application around the coronet band is particularly beneficial where hoof growth is required.
For best results, use as part of a hoof management programme that includes regular trimming and correct nutrition.
Grapeseed (Vitis vinifera) oil, carrot seed (Daucus carota); eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus); oregano (Oreganum vulgare) and bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) essential oils.

Excellent Product, smells lovely, a little bit goes a long way. Defo recommend.
Quiet simply it's fab. It smells wonderful and my friends horse licks it off and it has to be reapplied.
We have been using it for about a week now and we can both see an improvement in our horses hooves. I would highly recommend this product.
Fabulous product. This oil soaks really well into the hooves and has made such a difference to my horse’s feet in this very dry weather. No signs of cracking.
Only used for a week so I can't attest to its efficacy, the first time it went on my horse kept backing up with his nose on the ground trying to find where the delicious smell was coming from.
I've deducted one point because of the packaging, it's difficult to get the right amount onto the brush as it very fluid, and trying to scrape excess off the brush meant it got everywhere and the bottle became very slippy to hold. Hopefully I've resolved this problem by dispensing the oil into a bottle with in-built hoof brush. Possibly it would be better in a squeezy bottle which would allow you to put a line of product around the coronet band, then a brush can be used to spread it round the hoof wall.
This has been fantastic for my horses feet especially with the ever changing weather. Their feet dont get too soft in the wet or too dry in the warmer weather. It smells amazing to, so much so that my youngster licks if off of her hooves when i put it on! Luckily with it being all natural it wont hurt her :)
Amazing gel
Works so well on the itch, swelling definitely buy it again. Just make sure you get it on the bite asap
Been using itchy gel for a week. Noticed a big difference.
I did use Switch was was good but my mare hated me putting it on once a week.
She actually loves me rubbing the gel on her neck and especially in her tail . Hasn't rubbed her tail for a week now .
So pretty impressed over all with this product.
I did use the fly spray last year and it was the best I'd ever used.
So I would try these products there very good and not to expensive either .
Bought this with some more fly repellent as I thought it would be useful in the winter to protect my horses legs. However, I have used it to stop them rubbing their tails. Not had a problem since. The lovely smell is a bonus. I have been very impressed by the products I have bought.
The best in the business. The only flyspray which actually works for horse flies.
The only flyspray that actually works! My horses dont mind being covered in this either any other spray and they run away. Says it all for me! Another 10/10 product from Hedgewitch.
It works! I have been using this product for a number of years, with the odd trial of other products, but always return to this one as it’s the only fly repellent that works! Love it.
Quiet simply it's fab. It smells wonderful and my friends horse licks it off and it has to be reapplied.
We have been using it for about a week now and we can both see an improvement in our horses hooves. I would highly recommend this product.
I have a grey mare. It cleaned her mane and tail beautifully, snd it’s easy to rinse off. The lavender oil is the perfect finish.
Really amazing trigger spray. Coverage is good, therefore you use less.
This is our 3rd summer using the Icardin spray. We are in north east Scotland and have a lot of midgies to contend with. I use it on both myself and my pony, it’s amazing to see the flies buzzing around but not landing in us. Major perk is that it doesn’t stink like many fly sprays (useful when you have to visit the supermarket on the way home from the yard).
As instructed you need to mist it on all over so that the flies can’t find you, so you do use quite a bit of it but it is really effective so worth every penny!
My chestnut was not allergic to it. And she is to many products. A big plus. It was effective for about 4 hours. Had to reapply.
Thank you for your feedback and for trying our produt. Now we're out of the heatwave, you should get a longer protection time but it does vary depending on the attractiveness of the individual
Didn't keep the horse flies unfortunately. The bottle lasted me less than one week too becausei absolutely covered him onit
Hi there,
Thanks for trying our icaridin insect repellent and for leaving a review.
Just wanted to clarify that the 150ml bottle and applicator is meant for human use and is not designed to cover a large area like a horse. In fact, at the anticipated application rate for horses, this size bottle will only contain 4 applications (two days if applied twice per day). It's possible that you may not have been applying enough for it to be effective.
We hope this helps and if you have any further questions about how to apply to achieve the best results, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Best,
Niamh

I work as a gardener and was always being nobbled by insects. Not any more!
Excellent even when working near rivers and horse fields
Best protection against biting flies. Happy horses under extreme conditions!
I have now purchased 3tubs of this and I still have the problem of itchy legs and feet with my cobs, especially one who is a very itchy horse. He has a lot of feather. I tried watering it down a bit to spread it out and continued using for at least 3 weeks every day, but he is still itchy and sometimes as soon as I put it on he will go and rub his legs on the fence post. My other horse has not been stamping his feet as much though I think. I cannot trim his feathers either as he has never had this done and is a rescue pony plus I have no blades to do it and I have had no luck in the past with my other horse trying to trim his feathers. I am still persevering and hope in time it will reduce as it does have neem oil in which is a good deterrent.
Hi Julie,
Thanks for the review and pleased that one of your horses seems to be improving.
If you have established feathermites, we advise using this product in conjunction with horse oil with sweet orange & peppermint. Both products are intended to relieve and discourage mites naturally but if symptoms don't improve, you may need to consult your veterinary professional about prescribing cydectin.
