For manes & tails: mist on using a trigger spray for soft, tangle-free tails that will brush out easily for weeks
For wet, muddy conditions: apply to hair and feathers, there is no need to rub in
For grooming: apply sparingly to a bucket of warm water where required as a hot oil or mist onto hair using a trigger spray.
caprylic/capric triglycerides from coconut oil; Mentha piperita essential oil; Citrus sinensis essential oil.
Avoid application in strong UV conditions if there is risk of burning (particularly light-coloured horses).
Always patch test any new topical prior to first use.
Avoid direct inhalation and contact with eyes.
It smells gorgeous. A shy rescue pony lets me spray it on her back - just bought my second bottle. I love it on my own hands too and rub it where the geldings itch and scratch

Great product, lovely smell, good for their skin. Sometimes you have to clear the spray tube as it’s a tad thick to keep the tube running easily

Without doubt the most effective fly spray I’ve used. I have a nursing mare who can’t wear a fly rug and she is fully protected with this spray & its safe to use on the foal too
Having low expectations of fly repellants for equines, I tried icaridin off label and found it works exactly as I read it would. I applied and watched the midges and flies buzz around for a bit but not land. After a while the sheath area was clear of midges and the body of horse flies. You can spots the bits you missed as the little biters will find these! I applied to 2 ponies out of 5 and watch as 3 twitched their tails and kicked their back legs while the other 2 stood quietly beside them. Early days and I’m optimistic.
Love this hoof oil and use it together with the frog and sole saviour. My mares feed have never looked better.
I live in the northwest Highlands of Scotland and we have lots of midges at times! I usually use Smidge but I can confirm that Hedgewitch works just as well and I like that it is a spray rather than a cream and doesn’t make you feel sticky after application, also there is no scent which is brilliant for me. I will be buying the 5litre container.
This is my 2nd year of using itchy gel nothing has really worked up to now .I am pleasantly surprised that this product actually works and is easing my horses itching on her man and tail . It's an excellent product, and a really good efficient service .

Lovely oil product, smells amazing and keeps mane and tail softer for longer than other products on the market. Multi purpose too as can be used to hot cloth. Beautiful shine on young cobs feathers too.
This is far the best insect repellant I have ever used.
It is also very good to use on yourself.
I have used only this for a few years now after being recommended by a friend. It doesn’t smell and is extremely effective against horse flies and ticks also.
With any product use it properly don’t just squirt a few squirts around , make sure you get good coverage.
Great deterrent for midges and later on horseflies
